Draft for review
Ink terms.
Version: ink-terms-2026-10-26
Ink is a writing service from Egoist Machines, Inc. This draft describes the intended service. Rewriting, billing, voice training and the quality report flow are not available yet.
Your account and writing
You use your ego.ist account to sign in. Ink terms acceptance is separate from Passport permissions. Signing in grants no access to your Passport memories.
Submit only text you have the right to use. Review rewrites for meaning, facts and suitability before sharing them. Do not use Ink to misrepresent authorship or violate someone else’s rules.
Plans and trial
Ink costs USD 19 per month or USD 190 per year, with 50,000 input words per month. Ink Pro costs USD 39 per month or USD 390 per year, with 200,000 input words per month.
The planned 7-day trial collects a card through Stripe and caps usage at 10,000 input words. It converts to paid automatically. There is no free tier. Checkout, cancellation controls and final billing disclosures must be in place before subscriptions open.
Your data
Rewrites are never training data. Customer rewriting never calls an external detector. Planned rewrite history retention is 30 days and remains configurable. Deletion, backups and support evidence rules need final review before launch.
Voice training requires separate permission. Chat and email text stays within Passport’s temporary extraction window. Only the adapter is kept for Ink. Pasted and uploaded writing needs your authorship confirmation.
The quality promise
The planned promise: report an Ink output a detector flagged and receive a free month while we investigate. Detector results vary. Ink makes no universal detector avoidance claim.
Reporting and compensation are not open yet. Eligible verdicts, the reporting window, edited outputs, repeat incidents, trials and annual plan treatment are pending owner decision. Policy status: pending-owner-decision.
A report does not authorise sending your text to a detector. Any external resubmission requires your separate permission for that service and case.
Service providers
Stripe will process payments. PostHog measures use and Sentry records errors without rewrite, sample or evidence content. Final service, liability and governing-law terms require review before launch.
