Integrations

Ink can rewrite a draft from an assistant through MCP, or from your own software through the rewrite API. These connections use the shared Ink model. Choose Light, Balanced or Strong strength and a Work, Casual or Academic context. Personal voice profiles are coming soon.

ChatGPT

Ink’s ChatGPT app supports rewriting supplied text and reviewing the result in the Ink widget. The public listing is not published yet. For private use with an eligible developer account, add a connector using https://ink.ego.ist/mcp and OAuth. Complete sign-in and approval on Ink, then ask the assistant to rewrite the draft with Ink.

Claude

Add a custom connector using https://ink.ego.ist/mcp in Claude’s connector settings, then complete the browser authorization. The directory connector is submitted for review and is not published yet. The Ink widget can show the result and Compare view when the assistant supports it.

MCP agents

An MCP agent connects to the same endpoint with Ink OAuth. You approve access to Ink account status, supplied-text rewrites and your rewrite jobs and results. Connecting an assistant and starting a subscription are separate steps. The connection grants no AI Passport memory access.

An assistant can connect before you choose a plan. If rewriting needs account setup or more words, the tools return a link to Ink. Choose Disconnect in Connections to remove an assistant's access. The agent guide covers OAuth, tools and signup handoffs for people building an integration.

Rewrite API

API keys are available on a paid plan after the trial, from API keys in your Ink account. Submit a draft to POST /api/v1/rewrites and retrieve the result with GET /api/v1/rewrites/:id. Requests use a Bearer key and an idempotency key. Strength defaults to Strong; set Light or Balanced explicitly when you want fewer changes.

Review text and access

Text sent through ChatGPT, Claude or another assistant is also visible to that assistant. Ink checks names, numbers, dates, quotes, citations and links and warns if one goes missing. The checks can miss changes, so review the result before using it. Ink never sends your text to a detector. See Privacy for data handling.

You can also rewrite on the Ink website. See AI emails and work updates for a real example and plans for current prices. Eligible accounts receive a 7-day trial with a card required, capped at 10,000 input words. It converts to the chosen paid plan unless canceled.
