Undetectable AI writing
“Undetectable AI” usually means AI-assisted writing that reads as human and is not flagged by a detector. That describes a goal, not a permanent property of a document. A passage can read naturally to a person and still receive an AI label. A detector result also cannot establish who wrote the text or whether the writer followed the relevant rules.
Why a detector result has limits
Detectors estimate whether text resembles generated writing using statistical or learned signals. Different tools use different models, training examples and thresholds. They can disagree about the same passage, and updates can change a result. No tool can promise it for every detector. Our guide to how AI detectors work explains the main approaches and false positives.
“Not flagged” also does not mean accurate, original or appropriate to submit. Check quotations, sources and factual claims separately. If a school, employer or publisher has rules about AI assistance, a rewrite does not change those rules. Keep the drafts and source material that explain your process when they matter to the work.
What Ink does about machine-written patterns
Ink is an AI humanizer. It rewrites the patterns that make text read as machine-written and that AI detectors look for: stock phrases, uniform sentence rhythm, generic transitions and filler. It aims to make text read as human-written. It does not provide a detector verdict on the text you submit.
Choose Light, Balanced or Strong strength and a Work, Casual or Academic context. Ink checks names, numbers, dates, quotes, citations and links and warns if one goes missing. Use Compare to review the edits and check meaning yourself, because these checks can miss changes. The shared model is not trained on a personal writing style.
Check the text you plan to use
Results vary by detector and by text, so check your own text. Ink has no published measured pass rates yet. Ink makes no guarantee about how any detector classifies text. If you choose to use an external checker, review its privacy terms before sharing the final passage. A result applies to that text and that check, rather than future edits or other tools.
Ink never sends your text to a detector and runs no automated detector checks. Read about bypassing AI detection for the rewrite workflow and its limits. If you want to review wording without uploading it, the AI phrase checker highlights phrases locally. It cannot identify authorship or give an AI score.
