Use Ink in Claude

If you are looking for a humanizer for Claude, Ink can revise a draft through a custom connector. You choose which text to send and ask Claude to use Ink. The connection uses Ink OAuth and the same shared Ink model used on the website. Personal voice profiles are coming soon.

The Claude connector directory listing is pending review. You can connect today through the custom connector path described below. Directory approval and connecting your own account are separate things. The integrations page records the current connection options for Claude and other assistants.

Connect through a custom connector

In Claude’s connector settings, add a custom connector with https://ink.ego.ist/mcp as its URL. Complete the browser authorization on Ink. Read the consent screen before approving access. It covers Ink account status, supplied-text rewrites and your rewrite jobs and results. It grants no AI Passport memory access.

Connecting an assistant does not start a subscription. You can complete authorization before choosing a plan. If a rewrite needs account setup or more words, Ink returns a link to its website. Follow that link to review the available action, then return to Claude when the account is ready.

For people building an agent connection, the agent guide and auth.md describe authorization and tools. A claim link used for signup does not grant access to an account. Assistant authorization is a separate consent step, even when signup began with an agent.

Give Claude a clear editing task

Paste the draft you want revised and ask Claude to rewrite it with Ink. State the intended reader, context and strength. Light allows fewer changes, Balanced gives more room to revise phrasing, and Strong permits larger wording and rhythm changes. Work, Casual and Academic contexts guide the tone.

For example, ask for a Balanced rewrite in Work context for a support reply. Say that the deadline and refund conditions need to stay intact. Keep the source beside the result so you can check those details yourself. A precise request gives you a clearer basis for reviewing the edit.

Ink’s tools can check account status, submit the supplied text, check a job’s progress, retrieve its result and cancel a job. A draft that takes time may need progress checks before the final result is ready. Treat partial text as a preview and wait for completion before doing the final review.

Review the widget and the source

The Ink widget can show the result and Compare view when the assistant supports it. Use Compare to inspect changes against the original draft. If the client does not show the widget, review the returned result and use the website where needed. Widget support depends on the assistant.

Ink checks names, numbers, dates, quotes, citations and links and warns if one goes missing. The checks can miss changes. Verify who did what, which conditions apply and whether uncertainty stayed intact. A sentence can retain its numbers while changing the claim it makes about them.

Review access and plans

Text sent through Claude is visible to Claude as well as Ink. Send only material you intend both services to process. Ink’s privacy page explains its handling of drafts, results and feedback. Manage and revoke assistant grants in Connections on the Ink website.

Ink rewriting uses the account’s plan and available words. Current prices are on plans. To try a small editing step before connecting, use the free browser phrase checker. For reviewing the final result, read rewrite without losing facts and the writing guide.
